At Nannie Helen Burroughs students excel beyond our expectations.
Here's what our parents are
saying...
"I just wanted to commend Mrs. Tibbs for her work and instructional ability as evidenced
through the academic growth and development shown by my son. Recently, we attended a Jack & Jill of America, Inc.,
Eastern Regional Children's Cluster, where children from all over the Mid-Atlantic region came together for an event entitled
"Dream in Color: Creative Expressions in Literacy." I put my son in with the First Grade class and at the
end of the day, they were asked to write their own short story and read it in front of the class. My son's story
was about ways to be "green" such as using recycling. It was a well-written story and he presented it well
with no hesitation. I have to say that everyone was impressed with his story and presentation, even more so when they
found out that he was still in the Kindergarten. So I must give credit where credit is due. Thank you Mrs. Tibbs."

"I just wanted to extend my most sincerest thanks to you and your staff for all acts of kindness and
patience to Cameron and Christian. I know it has been a trying time for the last year and a half for you and your staff,
and I just want to let everyone know it has not gone unnoticed...you are definitely appreciated. I am always proud to
say that my children go there."

"I can't tell you
how much I enjoyed my tour of Nannie Helen Burroughs School. My three guides were excellent! It is not often that
I've seen such poised and articulate young people, and I know other visitors had a similar reaction."
